Owner & Founder
Lauryn Lefrancois
My name is Lauryn Lefrancois, I am the owner and founder of Lola’s Home Care. I have over 15 years of experience providing care to elderly individuals and people with disabilities. I hold a Developmental Services Worker Diploma from Fanshawe College and a Nonprofit & Volunteer Sector Management Certificate from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Before founding Lola’s Home Care, I was the owner of Lola’s Roundtable Developmental Services and Programs when it operated as a for-profit business. I later transitioned Lola’s Roundtable to a registered nonprofit, and I am now the Founder and Executive Director of the organization. Lola’s Roundtable is a local nonprofit providing day programs for adults with disabilities and a summer program for youth with disabilities.
I started Lola’s Home Care to extend our expertise and bring our approach of custom, high-quality care to the elderly community. I am very selective in hiring caregivers and staff, and I maintain very high standards for the quality of care we provide. Every team member is carefully chosen to ensure that the people we care for receive compassionate, consistent, and professional support.
At Lola’s Home Care, our goal is simple: to deliver care that feels personal, safe, and family-centered, giving families peace of mind that their loved ones are in capable, caring hands.

Care Costs
Pricing & Payment
Lola’s Home Care is a private-pay service. Insurance does not cover our services.
Standard Hourly Care:
Starting from $52 / hour (HST included)
2-hour minimum per visit
Daytime Care Packages:
8-hour shift starting from $380 / day (HST included)
Specialized and overnight care services will be offered in the future.
Additional Fees & Surcharges
At Lola’s Home Care, we are committed to transparency and clear communication. To support fair caregiver compensation and reliable service, the following surcharges may apply in specific situations. All fees are discussed in advance whenever possible.
Transportation & Mileage
When a caregiver uses their personal vehicle as part of client care, a mileage fee applies.
This applies to:
- Appointments
- Errands completed on the client’s behalf
- Community or social outings
Caregiver travel to and from the client’s home is included in standard rates and is not billed.
Last-Minute Booking Fee
To accommodate short-notice requests and ensure caregivers are fairly compensated, a last-minute booking surcharge may apply.
Definition: Care requested with less than 24 hours’ notice
Holiday Care
Care provided on recognized holidays is subject to a holiday surcharge due to increased staffing costs. Families will be notified in advance when holiday rates apply.
Observed holidays may include (but are not limited to):
- New Year’s Day
- Family Day
- Good Friday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day
- Civic Holiday
- Labour Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
Billing
We bill services in advance to ensure reliable care and timely payment for our caregivers. You may choose weekly or bi-weekly pre-billing. Payments are due Friday before the start of the service period. Accepted methods: Visa, e-transfer, cheque, or cash. If a visit is canceled by you or the agency, pre-paid amounts will be credited to the next billing cycle or refunded upon request. Services may be paused if payment is not received on time.
Late Payments / Missed Billing
- If payment is not received by the due date, services may be paused until payment is resolved. In this case, you will only be billed for the days care was actually provided, and any pre-paid amounts for days missed will be credited toward your next billing cycle.
- Exceptional circumstances can be discussed with our office.
